Classes of PET Memberships
Professional Educators of Tennessee has four membership classes. The benefits of each class of membership can be found in the benefits section. Only class one members are allowed to vote and to hold office in the association.
Class one is known as Professional Membership. Class one membership is open only to natural persons who are certified to teach by the state of Tennessee or who are employed in a professional capacity in any Tennessee public school or certified educational institution in Tennessee. Class one dues are currently $149.00/year.
Class two is known as Student Membership. Class two membership is open only to students in Tennessee colleges/universities preparing for a teaching career. Class two dues are currently $20.00/year.
Class three is known as school Support Membership. Class three membership is available to those non-certificated persons working in the public and private schools of Tennessee in secretarial, clerical, or paraprofessional positions; and substitute teachers. Class three dues are currently $70.00/year.
Class four membership is known as Associate Membership and is open to all persons, both natural and corporate, interested in supporting the goals and principals of PET. Class four dues are currently $30.00/year.
